Arsenal will be keen to get their Premier League campaign back on track against Birmingham City after three league games without success.
After thrashing Bolton 4-1 on home soil, Arsene Wenger's men were held by Sunderlandbefore losing to West Brom and Chelsea.
Alex McLeish's Birmingham are going through a rough patch themselves having failed to win any of their last four league outings.
They lost 2-0 to Everton at St Andrews before the international break and they have just one league goal since drawing 2-2 at Bolton.
On the few occasions Arsenal have lost at home in league action they have responded with a win, while Blues have failed to win any of their last eight away matches in Premier League action.
Gunners news
Arsenal are boosted by the availability of Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner for the first time this season after overcoming groin problems.
Full-back Kieran Gibbs is also fit after a calf injury while winger Theo Walcott (ankle) could be involved after looking sharp in training.
Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) and Manuel Almunia (elbow) are out, while Thomas Vermaelen(Achilles) and Bacary Sagna (thigh) are still a week away from being considered.
Dutch striker Robin van Persie (ankle) and Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey(leg) will not figure until next month following long-term injuries.
Blues news
Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome is doubtful for their trip to Emirates Stadium due to an ankle injury.
He suffered an ankle injury during training and, although it is not serious, it could keep him out of the encounter with Wenger's title challengers.
Summer signing Nikola Zigic could make his first league start since his £6million switch from Valencia if Jerome is unfit, while former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has recovered from the ankle knock which kept him out of Belarus' Euro 2012 qualifiers with Luxembourg and Albania.
However, midfield colleague Craig Gardner is again ruled out as he serves the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against Wigan Athletic.
Possible starting XIs:
Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Squillaci, Koscielny, Clichy, Nasri, Diaby, Song, Wilshere, Arshavin, Chamakh.
Birmingham: Foster, Ridgewell, Johnson, Dann, Carr, Hleb, Bowyer, Ferguson, Fahey, Larsson, Zigic. |
