A compromise between Portsmouth and Manchester City means Benjani Mwaruwari's transfer to Eastlands will finally go through today.
The two clubs had reached an impasse after City tried to back out of the original deal last Thursday night but Pompey called in the Premier League, claiming the 29-year-old's move had already been completed.
The Premier League confirmed the paperwork for the switch had been submitted before the transfer deadline, meaning the move will satisfy FIFA, but City had still been arguing the deal was not finalised due to some outstanding issues.
