CAGLIARI (4-3-1-2)

Marchetti: 6 - Aside from pick the ball out of his net twice, Marchetti had very few saves to make. Blameless on both of Milito's strikes.

Marzoratti: 6.5 - Relatively steady down the right hand side. Did not have too much defending to do on his flank.

Astori: 6.5 - Confident display from the youngster, although he let Milito get away for the second goal.

Canini: 6.5 - Faultless in the first half, after the break Canini missed a great headed chance to make it 2-0 and moments later Inter were level. Still looks a decent prospect.

Agostini: 6.5 - Lots of energy from the experienced left back, who linked up well with Cossu on many occasions.

Biondini: 6.5 - An honest performance in midfield, as always, from the red-haired schemer.

Conti: 4 - Was having a good game until he disastrously gifted the ball to Milito for Inter's equaliser. It was a catastrophic mistake that basically cost Cagliari three points.

Dessena: 7 - Lots and lots of quantity from Dessena, who simply never stopped running. The ex-Under 21 midfielder hit the post at 1-0, but some of his other shots were not too clever.

Cossu: 8 - An absolute delight to watch is Cossu, who clearly has the quality to play for a bigger club. At times the trequartista was unplayable - will be vital if Cagliari are to survive this season.

Jeda: 7 - Dispatched his penalty comfortably to put Cagliari in the lead, and was a thorn in Inter's side, but missed a sitter late on to earn his side a point.

Matri: 7.5 - Caused Inter all kinds of problems in the first half, winning the penalty and missing a good chance to make it 2-0. Less prominent after the break.

Substitutes

Lazzari: 6.5 - Did well after coming on and saw one effort pushed away by Julio Cesar.

Nene: 6 - Missed one good chance.

INTER (4-3-1-2)

Julio Cesar: 7.5 - Saved his side on a number of occasions, as Inter got out of jail today.

Maicon: 5 - Very shaky display from the Brazilian, who conceded the penalty and really struggled against Matri and Cossu. Didn't seem up for the game at all.

Cordoba: 6 - Good pace at the back, but clearly Cordoba's best days are behind him. Inter look far safer with Samuel or Chivu at centre back.

Lucio: 6.5 - A couple of crucial interceptions, but Lucio always looked like he was really fighting to keep up with the Cagliari attacks.

Santon: 5.5 - Endured a number of problems in the first half against the tricky Cossu and Jeda, and was replaced at half time.

Zanetti: 7 - Led by example, and kept his head while those around him were starting to panic when Cagliari threatened to run away with the game.

Cambiasso: 5.5 - Clearly wasn't fully fit after his long injury lay-off and was hooked at the interval after a difficult 45 minutes.

Stankovic: 7 - One of Inter's few good performers this afternoon. Was useful in the defensive and attacking phase. Shot just over early on.

Sneijder: 6 - A few crisp passes, but in truth Sneijder was disappointing. Will have to do much better than this if he is to be the top-class trequartista Inter are looking for.

Eto'o: 6.5 - Worked extremely hard, and it was his pressing that led to Inter's equaliser. Curled a free kick inches wide on 35 minutes.

Milito: 9 - Simply sensational, and undoubtedly one of the best finishers in world football. His two finishes today were clinically deadly, particularly the winner.

Substitutes

Thiago Motta: N/A - Lasted just 20 minutes of the second half before limping off.

Balotelli: 6.5 - Powerful second half, but missed a good chance.

Chivu: 6.5 - Slotted in nicely.
