Theo Walcott should be fit for next week’s Champions League tie at Celtic. The England star missed his country’s midweek friendly in Holland with a back problem. The manager hopes to have Walcott back for Tuesday’s first leg in Glasgow. “For him it is a question of days,” said Wenger at his pre-match press conference. “He should be available for next week. Walcott is still a question mark but he has a good chance.”

ABOU DIABY

Abou Diaby should be fit for next week’s Champions League tie at Celtic. The French midfielder sustained a groin injury in pre-season. Diaby was classed as a doubt ahead of Saturday’s big kick-off at Everton but Arsène Wenger confirmed that he will not make the trip to Goodison Park. However, the manager hopes to have him back for Tuesday’s first leg in Glasgow. “For him it is a question of days,” said Wenger at his pre-match press conference. “He should be available for next week. Diaby certainly.”

SAMIR NASRI

Arsène Wenger is hopeful that Samir Nasri will be available in October. "Samir Nasri will be three-and-a-half weeks now [before he recovers]. But it will be six or seven weeks until he is available for training," said the boss. Samir broke his leg during a training session in Austria in July.

TOMAS ROSICKY

Tomas missed the Valencia game with a hamstring problem and will miss the start of the season. "Tomas Rosicky is two weeks away,” said Wenger.

Johan has picked up a knee injury and will be out until September. "Johan has a knee problem that will take some time to cure - one month," said Wenger.

Lukasz has had surgery to cure a knee problem. "Lukasz has had a cartilage surgery," confirmed Wenger. "He will be out for two months.
