Ortega stated that he is anxious "to put on the River [Plate] shirt" once again, and he stated that he "dreams about" having an opportunity in Diego Maradona's side.
In order to return to River, "all that is needed is to sign some papers with Independiente Rivadavia of Mendoza." When this is completed, Ortega could commence training with Nestor Gorosito's side.
"I dream about starting to train and to play at a great level," declared Ortega when asked about his immediate future.
"I'm not thinking about retirement, I only think about River, I am very motivated. Hopefully I can play at a great level. I hope to play many more years."
In respect to the Argentine national team, Ortega said "they have a great team, with amazing players" and if they beat Colombia "they will have qualification in their hands."
Finally, Ortega commented about his experiences at Independiente Rivadavia, the team he was loaned out to in an attempt to cure his alcohol addiction.
"It didn't go as well as I had wanted it to, not being promoted wasn't nice, but I only have words of thanks for them because they treated me very well," he concluded.
