Q. What about the speed?
A. Normally, our beta demos use a small database setting however for the first time we are utilising a larger data with FULL detail turned on. This should allow you to get a feel for the game and it's database. Please note that Football Manager 2005 now has five different database settings to give you flexibility. We are still working on all areas of optimisation (since this beta demo was created we've optimised the game further). In our tests, the speed of FM in full detail is roughly the eqivalent of our previous games utilising our codebase in non full detail.
Q. I'm unhappy that it doesnt work on Windows 98 or ME
A. We apologise for this, however there was not enough time to correct the issues before the CD went for duplication. Although the game will load in most cases, 98/ME users will suffer from hardly any fixtures being scheduled and the ability not to be able to save. The final game and gold demo will work on your system
