第18天: 补丁将在发布日与正式版同时出来

It’s great for us to see so many people playing it and enjoying it, and thank you to MirrorFootball for being our partner for it’s release.
If you haven’t already grabbed it, you can still download it here - and there’s also a very special competition there to actually appear in the game in a future “patch” for it.
For those who don’t know what a “patch” is, it’s a free update that is provided after a game is released that can add things to the game, or fix things too.
The problem for us making games for PC’s in particularly is that there are so many differenttypes of machine out there, some with little nuances that aren’t found on other machines, and we try and offer the best support possible by releasing updates if we fix things that are broken.
It also gives us the chance to update data, and we always provide a data update for PC & Mac users a few weeks after the end of the January transfer window to ensure that all of the players are at their new clubs.
And it gives us the chance to add any assets, like player pictures, that weren’t sent to us in time for the boxed game release.
This year, we were planning on two updates. One in December to fix any issues, and one in February/March to update the transfers.
But with the situation much changed at Liverpool since the game mastered, we’ve decided to do a patch on the day of release.
This patch will ensure that Liverpool now have the correct owners.
It will also provide an extra “skin” for the game, a dark version of the main skin.
There will also be some added extras for those people who install their game through Steam, but I’ll be dealing with that in a blog in the next couple of weeks.
Another thing to mention today is that the new edition of the Football Manager podcast has just gone live at iTunes. It’s a very special one this episode, as it’s in conjunction with One Game One Community, and features Danny Lynch and a certain ex-England international, Earl Barrett, to tie in with the organisations week of action.
