Gerrard injured foot in Toulouse matchTOULOUSE, France, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard sustained a foot injury during his team's 1-0 victory at Toulouse in their Champions League qualifying third round match on Wednesday.
Gerrard was replaced by Momo Sissoko after Toulouse midfielder Achille Emana stepped on the England midfielder's right foot 20 minutes into the second half.
A Liverpool official said that Gerrard had received a kick on his toe and could not say whether he would be doubtful for this weekend's Premier League game against Chelsea.
'I was already thinking of replacing him,' said Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez.

艾辛说是受伤十天,但也可能是烟幕0=024队长脚趾骨折,但对车仔有机会上阵
GERRARD FIT FOR CHELSEASteven Gerrard will be available for Sunday's showdown against Chelsea despite suffering a hairline fracture in his toe.
Rafa Benitez said: "He has a hairline fracture in his toe. I think he will be available for the weekend. The only problem is, if we push him now, he might need a little bit of a rest afterwards.
"I was talking to the doctor and he said it is not a big risk for him to play, though there is always some risk."
Benitez revealed Gerrard may need one or two weeks of rest if selected against Chelsea, which in all likelihood will rule him out of England's friendly versus Germany on August 22.
"If we want to push him for this game, it would be a risk to push him again and again, because it could become more serious," said the Spaniard.
"I still need to talk to Steve McLaren but I think he will understand it would be a big risk."

Steven Gerrard will play for Liverpool against Chelsea on Sunday despite a scan revealing today that he has a hairline fracture of the toe.
But Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez insists Gerrard will then need to rest and will not figure in England’s friendly against Germany at Wembley next Wednesday.
Gerrard picked up the injury in Toulouse yesterday when Liverpool won their Champions League third qualifying round first leg tie 1-0.
Benitez is prepared to push his player to the limit to face the Blues but said: “He will then need one or two weeks’ rest.
“He will train but he will not be able to join up with England. I will talk to Steve McClaren and I am sure he will understand.
“We have been told by our doctors that this is not a big risk but he will clearly then need to rest after the Chelsea match.”
